F is for Forgetting

F is for Forgetting

When you are thinking about your book, or a revision idea, or have an AH-HA! moment that you absolutely love, the great, great amazing solution that ties everything together, that crystal clear shot of YES, THIS

–and then don’t write it down.

Forgetting sucks.

Hey! Pleased to meet you. I loathe forgetting and I am a die-hard morning person too!

  2. Kate says:

No kidding! And this seems to happen to me ALL THE TIME!!! I seriously have to have my notebook with me at all times.

  3. I heard someone once say that if you can’t remember it later, then it’s not such a good idea after all. I don’t know that I totally agree with that, but it’s something to think about it… 🙂

  4. Suzie F. says:

I can’t tell you how many times this happens to me, especially since most of my ideas come to me in the shower. Can’t really write it down in there, you know? Btw – You’re doing great with the A-Z challenge!

  5. Lynn Proctor says:

yep, that’s why writers wake up in the night, when it’s flowing 🙂

  6. Tara Tyler says:

thanks for all the advice & encouragement!
great posts! esp liked the conflict!

and i forget way too much so i have a notebook in almost every room!

  7. that’s why i write everything down. love the notepad app on my phone, so i can write stuff about events when i’m at them, so i don’t forget what happened when i get home from a concert or game to blog about.

    • Oooo, you’re an advanced note taker. That’s really smart, I think of all the times out in public when a particular event, or person strikes me a certain way. Note to self: take MORE notes! Thanks for stopping by.

I keep notepaper by my bedside but at 3 in the morning, I’m too tired to do anything about my inspired ideas. 😉

  9. Just hopping thru from the #atozchallenge and can SO TOTALLY RELATE to forgetting something awesome! And at other times I write something down I think is awesome and come to find out, the next time I read it, it was not awesome. Maybe I am not forgetting anything important than?

    Take care!
