Fabulous selection! I missed several of these and will be adding them to my TBR list, so thanks for posting. As for me, I’ve been reading Enola Holmes mysteries for middle grade and just got The Wicked and the Just for my YA reading 🙂 I’ve never read Life of Pi either and with the movie being out, I thought I’d try it. I’d like to read more in the New Year too, but with another little one coming any day, I think I’ll probably end up reading in spurts (instead of a consistent “book a week” type of reading goal) and writing in spurts like I did this year.

We read a lot of the same books. I’d love to know which ones were your favorites 🙂 Here’s what I read this year: http://katejarvikbirch.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-books-i-read-2012-edition.html

  3. Jennine G. says:

I read 42 books in 2012 – the last one being Les Mis, which is 1463 pages, so really it counts as at least three books! Lol My yearly goal is always 50 because I know I should be able to reach that, so I fell short a few this year, as I do most years.

One of my favorites on your list Rebecca is The Book Thief – my favorite narrator of any book I’ve read in my life so far. And A Fault in Our Stars is my first book for this year.

  4. I read a chunk of those – loved The Book Thief and The Hunger Games Trilogy. Here’s my post about my Standouts for 2012 -http://madelinemora-summonte.blogspot.com/2013/01/2012-standouts-december-recommended.html.

Right now I’m reading IN THE SHADOW OF THE BANYAN – not too far in yet but enjoying it. 🙂
