My Empty Nest, Non-Routine Writing Routine

I was thinking today about how much my writing life and how I show up to the page have changed over the last twenty years. When I began this author life, I was pregnant with my first baby. Now, both my kids have left the house. For decades, I juggled writing with raising a family and working full-time. Now, it can sometimes feel like I have too much time, and I don’t always manage it as well as I should.
